If you're not familiar with the Apostille...it's public documents that are certified for international use. The nations who joined the Apostille Section of the Hague Convention (there are currently over 60 countries) acknowledge these public documents as being certified by an Apostille. This certification means that the documents will be valid within the country where the document originated and was notarized. Basically, the Apostille certifies authenticity of the document's signatures.
It also certifies what the person who signed the document was acting as, i.e. President of a company, Homeowner, Borrower, etc. and the apostille must be issued from the state where it originated and notarized. The Apostille that attaches to the document is a one-page certificate that must be embossed with the Great Seal of a State and must include the facsimile signature of whoever issues the Apostille.
